A Formula 1 constructor team needed to transport 18 key personnel (team principal, race engineers, strategists, senior mechanics) across 24 races on 5 continents during the 2025 season. The challenge intensified during 8 back-to-back race weekends where the team had less than 72 hours between Sunday race finish and Thursday track walk at the next venue. Commercial connections often didn't exist for these tight turnarounds.

VOLO built a dynamic season-long charter calendar synchronized with the FIA race schedule. For back-to-back races, we pre-positioned aircraft at each circuit: a Bombardier Global 6000 for intercontinental legs and a Challenger 350 for regional hops. Rest optimization was key — all flights were red-eyes with lie-flat configurations so the team arrived rested. We also coordinated cargo holds for sensitive telemetry equipment that couldn't travel with the main freight.

96 flight legs completed across the season with zero missed track sessions. During the 8 back-to-back weekends, average travel-to-rest ratio improved by 60% versus the team's previous commercial-plus-charter mix. The team principal credited improved race-weekend preparation as a factor in the team's best constructor championship finish in 5 years.
