International Pet Relocation — 3 Dogs, 12,000 km
Stress-free relocation of three large dogs from London to Sydney with veterinary escort
A British family relocating to Sydney needed to transport three large dogs (two Golden Retrievers and one German Shepherd) from London. Commercial pet cargo would mean 20+ hours in a pressurized hold with a connection stop — extremely stressful for large breeds. Australia's strict biosecurity regulations added complexity with quarantine requirements. The family wanted their dogs to travel in the cabin with veterinary supervision.
VOLO arranged a Challenger 604 with custom cabin modification: three large climate-controlled pet areas with padding, water stations, and room to stand and turn. A certified veterinary nurse accompanied the flight with monitoring equipment. We coordinated with Australia's Department of Agriculture pre-departure: all vaccinations, blood tests, and tick treatments were completed to Australian standards, enabling a pre-approved fast-track entry. The route included a refueling stop in Singapore with a veterinary checkpoint.
All three dogs arrived in Sydney calm, healthy, and with Australian quarantine requirements pre-cleared — meaning they went directly home with the family instead of entering the standard 10-day quarantine facility. The veterinary nurse reported all vital signs normal throughout the flight. The family estimated they saved 3 weeks of stress and quarantine compared to commercial pet cargo options.
Our dogs are family. VOLO treated them that way — cabin travel with a vet nurse, zero quarantine, zero stress. Worth every penny.
