A major studio producing a $200M action film needed to move a core crew of 35 (director, leads, department heads) between shooting locations in London, Morocco, Croatia, Iceland, Spain, and France over 14 weeks. Commercial travel was unreliable for tight production schedules where a single delay could cost $500,000+ per day in lost shooting time.

VOLO created a 14-week charter program with a dedicated Challenger 605 based in London, supplemented by regional aircraft for shorter hops. We built a dynamic scheduling system that synced with the production calendar — when shooting schedules shifted (which happened 11 times), our AI automatically recalculated routing and repositioned aircraft. All flights were timed for overnight travel so crew arrived rested for dawn call times.

47 crew flights completed with zero production delays attributable to travel. The overnight flight strategy recovered 14 shooting days that would have been lost to daytime travel. Despite 11 schedule changes, VOLO adapted within an average of 3 hours per change. Total charter cost was 28% below the studio's initial budget for ad-hoc commercial business class and last-minute charters.
