Engineering Diary, Day 21: 13,000 URLs, 6,000 Indexed — So We Built 510 New Pages, Rewired the Link Graph, and Added 161 Aircraft Renders
Google Search Console told us the truth: 13,000 URLs in the sitemap, only 6,000 indexed. A 46% indexing rate. The diagnosis was clear — our programmatic pages were thin, isolated islands. Routes didn't link to aircraft. Airports didn't link to FBOs. The sitemap treated all 11 languages equally, diluting crawl budget. So we did what any self-respecting CTO would do: we shipped 510 new pages, rewired the entire internal link graph, dropped 161 photorealistic 3D aircraft renders into the mix, and hand-crafted image alt text for every single one of our 218 aircraft models. All in one day.
