VOLO quotes are fully transparent and all-inclusive. Every quote includes aircraft charter cost, crew fees, fuel surcharges, landing and handling fees, repositioning costs, in-flight catering (standard), ground coordination, and VOLO's service fee. There are no hidden charges. Customs and immigration fees, special catering upgrades, and premium ground transportation are itemized separately when applicable.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay), wire transfers, and ACH payments. For membership clients, we also support pre-funded accounts with balance-based billing. All transactions are processed through PCI DSS Level 1 compliant payment systems.
Cancellation policies vary by operator and booking type. Generally, cancellations more than 72 hours before departure are eligible for a full or partial refund. Cancellations within 72 hours may incur fees of 50-100% of the charter cost. Membership clients enjoy more flexible cancellation terms, including free cancellations up to 24 hours before departure on select tiers. Your specific cancellation terms are detailed in your charter agreement.
Yes. Our platform supports real-time itinerary modifications including departure time changes, destination adjustments, passenger count updates, and additional leg additions. Modifications are subject to aircraft and crew availability. Changes that significantly alter the flight profile may result in price adjustments, which are communicated transparently before confirmation.

Our fleet spans every category: Turboprops, Light Jets, Midsize Jets, Super Midsize Jets, Heavy Jets, and Ultra Long Range aircraft. Absolutely. When you request a quote, our AI presents multiple aircraft options ranked by suitability for your specific route, passenger count, and preferences. You can select a specific aircraft model, or even request a specific tail number if you have flown on it before. Membership clients can save preferred aircraft to their profile for priority matching.
Every operator in our network undergoes rigorous safety vetting. We verify current Air Operator Certificates (AOC), insurance coverage (minimum $100M liability), ARGUS or Wyvern safety ratings, pilot qualifications (minimum 3,000 total hours, 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command), aircraft maintenance records, and regulatory compliance history. Operators that do not meet our standards are not accepted into the network.
We offer six aircraft categories: Light Jets (ideal for short trips, 2-3 hour range, 4-6 passengers), Midsize Jets (coast-to-coast capability, 6-8 passengers), Super Midsize Jets (transcontinental range with stand-up cabin, 8-10 passengers), Heavy Jets (intercontinental range with full amenities, 10-16 passengers), Ultra Long Range (nonstop global reach, 12-19 passengers), and VIP Airliners (for large groups or diplomatic missions, 19+ passengers).
Safety is non-negotiable at VOLO. All operators in our network must hold valid AOCs from their national aviation authority, carry comprehensive insurance coverage, maintain ARGUS Gold or Platinum rating (or Wyvern Wingman certification), employ pilots meeting our enhanced qualification requirements, and adhere to manufacturer-specified maintenance schedules. We continuously monitor safety records and remove operators that fall below our standards.
Pilots flying for VOLO network operators must have a minimum of 3,000 total flight hours, at least 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command, current type rating for the specific aircraft being flown, successful completion of recurrent training within the last 12 months, and clean FAA (or equivalent) medical certification. Many of our pilots are former military or airline captains with 10,000+ hours of experience.
All VOLO network aircraft carry comprehensive first aid kits and AED defibrillators. Crew members are trained in advanced first aid and CPR. In case of a medical emergency, the crew will coordinate with ground-based medical services, divert to the nearest suitable airport if necessary, and ensure emergency medical teams are standing by upon arrival. For high-risk passengers or remote itineraries, we can arrange for medical professionals to accompany the flight.
Our AI continuously monitors global weather patterns, SIGMET alerts, and NOTAMs along your route. If conditions are unfavorable, we proactively propose alternatives: adjusted departure times, alternate routes, or suitable diversion airports. Our operations team monitors every active flight and maintains direct communication with crews. We will never encourage operations in unsafe weather conditions.
VOLO offers three membership tiers. Select provides reduced service fees, priority booking, and flight history tracking. Elite adds guaranteed availability within 6 hours, complimentary cabin upgrades, dedicated relationship manager, and concierge services. Infinite is our highest tier offering guaranteed availability within 4 hours, complimentary catering on all flights, unlimited itinerary changes, and access to exclusive empty leg deals. Each tier is designed for different travel frequencies and preferences.

Our team will discuss your travel patterns, preferences, and goals to recommend the most suitable tier. There is no minimum flight commitment, but membership fees are annual and non-refundable.
Yes. You can upgrade your membership at any time, with the pro-rated difference applied to your new tier. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal date. We recommend reaching out to your relationship manager to discuss the best timing for any tier change.

For international flights, customs and immigration formalities are handled at the FBO, often in a private lounge.
Yes, pets are welcome on VOLO flights. Unlike commercial airlines, your pet travels in the cabin with you. There are no size restrictions and no kennel requirements. We simply need advance notice to ensure the aircraft cabin is prepared and to comply with any destination-specific pet import regulations. Our concierge team handles all documentation.
Standard catering includes premium snacks, beverages, and light refreshments. For longer flights, you can select from our curated menu or request custom catering from local restaurants and specialty providers. Dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences are accommodated. Elite and Infinite members enjoy complimentary enhanced catering on all flights.
Yes. Our concierge team coordinates luxury ground transportation at both departure and arrival points. Options include chauffeured sedans, SUVs, limousines, and helicopter transfers. Ground transport can be added to any booking during the customization step or arranged post-booking through your VOLO account.
