Serengeti & the Great Migration
Two million animals on the move, from a private camp.
The greatest wildlife spectacle on earth — wildebeest and zebra crossing the plains, followed by predators. FCT positions you in the right camp at the right time, with a private vehicle and an expert guide tracking the herds and the river crossings.
The migration, month by month
The Great Migration is a year-round circuit, not a single event. Calving on the southern short-grass plains (Jan–Mar) draws the predators; the columns move northwest through the Grumeti (May–Jun); and the Mara River crossings (Jul–Oct) are the climax. We place your camp on the right stretch for your travel window.
A day in the Serengeti
Early-morning and late-afternoon game drives with a private vehicle and tracker, a hot-air-balloon flight at dawn over the plains, and bush breakfasts and sundowners between drives — all at your own pace, with no fixed group schedule.
Year-round, but timed to the herds: the Mara River crossings in the northern Serengeti peak July–October, while the dramatic calving season on the southern plains runs January–March. FCT positions your camp where the action will be for your exact dates.
